Windows Shortcuts & Quick Tools

Run Dialog (Windows+r)

  • shell:startup - open startup folder (current user)
  • shell:common - open startup folder (all users)

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Powershell: Windows+x, a
  • Shadowplay: Alt + F9 to start/stop record
  • Windows screen/active window capture: Win+G

Git Bash Here

Install git to get a "Git Bash Here" entry in the right-click context menu.

Context Menu Registry Locations

To inspect/change/remove right-click context menu entries via regedit:

  • Files: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
  • Desktop: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell
  • Desktop (shellex): HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
