Cohen - WA State student employment
- Rate: $18/hr

- Hours of work limits
- during school week, teens can work up to 20hrs total
- max of 4 hrs on school days
- allows up to 8 hrs on Fri-Sun
- Obtain a minor work permit/endorsement

- Maintain proof of the minor’s age (birth certificate, driver’s licence, etc) in your records
- Register to do business in WA
- Register as a “foreign entity” in WA (through the Washington Secretary of State), since you’re “doing business” there by employing someone.
- Obtain a Washington business license (through the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service).
